Privacy Policy

Daily Check-In · Effective October 16, 2026

Daily Check-In is a daily safety check-in app made by Alzhan Group LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@alzhangroupllc.com.

What we collect

• Your check-ins: when you tap I'm OK, the mood you choose (if any), your check-in times, and your time zone.
• Your name as you enter it, shown to your family and in alerts.
• The people you choose to alert: their names, email addresses, and, if they sign up for text alerts themselves, their mobile numbers.
• Your mobile number, only if you sign up for backup texts ("Text me too").
• Location (optional, off by default): where your phone was when you last checked in or opened the app. Your family sees it only if you miss a check-in.
• Activity (optional, off by default): if you turn on "Count my steps as a check-in", the time your iPhone or Apple Watch counted steps. Never your step counts or other health data.
• Account details: if you save your account, your email address or the identifier Apple or Google gives us.
• Device details: a push notification token and your app language, so reminders and alerts reach your phone in your language.
• Plus: whether you have Plus and until when. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card.

How we use it

Only to run Daily Check-In: to remind you to check in, to alert the people you chose if you miss a check-in, to tell them when you're OK again, to keep your account, and to answer you when you write to us. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• The people you chose: your family in the app, and your contacts by email or text, see what an alert needs: your name, when your check-in was due, your phone number if you added one, and your last location if you share it.
• Service providers who run parts of the service for us, under contract and only for that: Supabase (database and servers), Expo, Apple and Google (push notifications, sign-in, purchases), Resend (email), and Twilio (text messages).
• The law: if we're legally required to, or to protect someone's safety.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.

Text messages

We text a mobile number only after its owner signs up by texting us YES with their sign-up code. We use that number only for Daily Check-In alerts. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help. See the Terms for the full text alert program.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. When you tap Menu › Settings › Delete my account, we delete your account, your check-ins, your contacts, and your location, and we tell your family that alerts have stopped.

Your choices

• Turn location and step check-ins on or off in the app at any time.
• Remove any contact, or anyone from your family list, in the app.
• Contacts can stop emails with the link in each email, and texts by replying STOP.
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it: hello@alzhangroupllc.com.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and stored with access rules, so only you, the family you invite, and our servers can read it.

Children

Daily Check-In is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
